This is the second of our monthly blogs all about us here at Future Sound Music.
I forgot to mention in our last blog that we were chosen to be a part of “Faces of Longridge”. This is a monthly photo exhibition which is displayed at Hoppy Days micro pub. The photos were taken by local photographer, Sam Reynolds. We want to thank Sam for being incredibly patient with us.
Despite being closed for the first week of April we’ve had a super busy month. We spent the start of it crossing a few more items off the never ending to do list. This included finally getting all of the entries from our Create Longridge fringe event up on display. We also now have a brilliant exhibition of digital prints for sale from local artist, Robert Parkinson. Check them out below.
It was our 3rd birthday on April 14th so to celebrate we decided to give away a load of cool stuff. This included a gift voucher for 5 music lessons, Future Sound Music T shirts and a guitarist survival pack. In May we plan to give away a Soprano Ukulele so look out for that on social media very soon.
We also spent some time with a member of the Longridge Dementia Friendly Community group. It was very insightful and we are now officially “Dementia Friends”.
I thought I’d save the best for last and give a big shout out to the six students who took their grade exams last month. All six students passed, four passing with merit. Amazing work. Well done to all of them!
Thanks for having a gander.
